The
House Where We Worship...
Sanctuary
The
sanctuary is designed along classic New England lines, providing
a congenial atmosphere for worship and meditation. Three
beautiful stained glass windows depict the pilgrim festivals
of Pesach, Shavout and Sukkot. Individual listening devices
for hearing enhancement, as well as large print prayer books,
are available.
Social
Hall And Other Facilities
The
main floor also includes the Rabbi’s study, offices, classrooms
and our library. The lower level of the building houses
a social hall bursting with activity from rummage sales to
Oneg Shabbats, a busy kitchen and a multi-purpose wing filled
with classes for children and adults, as well as meetings
and our informal services. An elevator provides access to
the lower floor.

The
Congregation maintains a cemetery in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Burial rights are granted only to members of Vassar Temple.
